Last week, a "new" tool arrived in the workshop, a Wickman Erodomatic Falling Electrode Spark Eroder:
Perfect for digging taps out of sumps (er, well, it would be except the tank's too small), but should be well capable of smaller jobs.
it's funny, I've never looked forward to snapping a tap off before...
The machine at work:
I'd take some video, but it's not the most photogenic of processes, just a bunch of crackling, and some smoke... I managed to get a nearly full drum of electrolytic fluid to go with it, so hopefully enough to last me a lifetime... unless, of course, it becomes the most used machine in the workshop!
So.... just need one of those wire-EDM machines (I've got my eye on one, but I'm clean out of space just now), and I'll have the full set
