Thats about 25 quid.  I think I will be bidding on it, just something to put on the mantlepiece! :med:

 One of our club members bought a similar lathe at a club auction (similar price) with a bit of work (bored out headstock, new spindle, lever tailstock) he now has a neat little precision lathe. Here he is turning cones for loco steam injectors at our recent exhibition.

John Hill:
That one looks rather neat Mark.  ::)

I actually gave one away about 15 years ago. It came with a load of bits from a workshop clearout.

I refurbished it and gave it to a fellow modeller who still uses it to make many custom fittings for model boats.

They are a very nice basic lathe, however, a little limited in its basic form. But as OB's mate has shown, with a little work, they can very easily be made into a nice high precision machine.

Well worth getting for the price.

I dont really think the little lathe would suit the sort of messing around I am likely to do but it would be nice to have on the shelf!
