Slow, steady progress........ Cleaned up the casting, in the single pedestal area. Marked out for crankshaft centre line, and two base pads....... Milled .03" deep pockets........ Two steel pads. Fitting snugly, in the pockets, also doweled........ Glued with sleevelock. Milled to match each other........ Two 25mm square columns. Held with m6 c/sunk screws and dowels. Drilled......... Reamed, 13mm........ Angled the column sides....... Radiused......... How it all fits together........ A quick spruce up, of the flywheels. Increased the diameter of the bosses........ Ah she looking canny marra, by eck you like a challenge Not much done this end apart from a rear tool post to remind me why I dont like hacksawing 2" square steel Hi Rob, no probs machining the flywheel. A really nice bit of casting :thumbup: Chuffed to bits with it cheers |
