Nah! --- Quote from: vtsteam on January 27, 2015, 06:39:48 PM ---Great improvement David, more than double where you started. Beautiful engine, too.   --- End quote --- Thanks Steve! ........................... Happy with the head etc. I'm turning my attention to the other end, of this engine. There's something wrong........ It's not the 'orribly designed crank throw. With the big end bearing hanging out in space. :loco: It's not the way the crankshaft ball races wobble, in their oversize housing. :palm: Shouldn't the flywheel, and cam, bosses, be level with the top of the pedestal casting? The top of the conrod, is a bit close to the cylinder......... But, there's rather more clearance, down here......... It's desaxe! :palm: Don't think that was a design feature! The eccentrically cast flywheel, reminds me of a loco wheel....... Would this improve the looks, at all? Oh. Yes! ........ And, I've got a pair of 'em! Still have lots of work to do. And, all winter to do it...... David D |
fcheslop:
