Scott Vacuum Engine......

Distilled water would be far worse in the corrosion stats .
As it's been depleted of is mineral content all it want to do is get them back , that's why it's know as the universal solvent . Also do not drink it it will leach the minerals from gut .
It is a insulator as far as electricity is concerned ,they use it to wash down live HV glass insulators.
David why not use nest antifreeze as a coolant it has inhibitors in it to prevent corrosion
Great build

Thanks for all your comments Chaps!
Stuart.
I used Bluecol top up mix, in my Robinson engine. It rusted, immediately! :bang:
The O ring idea, didn't work. Leaked, again........ :bang: :bang:
So, I filled the groove with Hylomar. Then wrapped around with thick cotton. To fill the groove a little proud.
Then applied more Hylomar, once it was through the first bore, before entering it into the rear one.
It worked........
Now, using coolant mix, at 10/1. No rust, so far........
Well........ It's finally finished!
The sun was shining too brightly for the camera. The actual colour is Ford burgundy......
The duck, is in there, somewhere. The wind was a nuisance, too.......
