I must now put my cards on the table - at one time I was Chairman of SM&EE in London. Not all members conform to your stereotypes (though quite a few do). Oh and by the way, the last 'model' that I made was a wooden catamaran when I was at school - it even featured in the local paper with a picture of me in shorts :ddb:
