A big hello from me too....I used to live in Germiston back in the early 80's then decided to move back to the UK.......

Got any projects to share with us?

Thx John I used to live close by Germiston - ie Kemptonpark and would love to share the projects as they come along. At the moment most of my time goes for cleaning and organizing space for the projects to start. Need exactly 2 x the space as everything is now in the workshop but there is not space left to move or work

Wellcome.

Your workshop situation sounds familiar. I got about three meters long, 2,40 m high and 0,7 m deep five (or six?) self metal storage rack to solve out clutter in my garage. Got most of it organized, but still have to move pilar drill, shopvack and band saw whenever I need to work.

I have worked in RSA four times, I think. Mostly around Durban (and some +/- 100 km north/south). Some wonderfull people out there. One guy heard that I like model engineering and lugged into his car trunk one old english lathe he was doing some restoration just to show and tell.

It was sometimes a scary place for outsider back 1995 or so, Some really nice scenery, most people I met were nice, but also some scary moments. One thing I remember when someone desided to propell a build block towards our car. Never had even scratch there. Nothing bit me and I used to take about five Km morning walk in the "bush" least twice a week. Had some really nice time there.
