About two and a half month ago on a cold morning I heard a thump on the top deck and it turned out to be the clumsy landing a pelican. The poor guy was in pretty sample bait fishd shape and had frost bitten feet. I guess some sort of infection resulting from that as well. Anyway I had some bait fish in the freezer and gave him a few of those. A few days passed without him leaving and we kept feeding him and after a while he got more trusting. So i could touch him and pick him up. That gave us th chance to do something about those frost bites. He lost about an inch from each toe over time. But ample bait fish had him bak up to weight and he was able to fly and fish for himself. But he keeps calling by and sits with us at the outside table and loves to get scratched on his neck and head and he get the od fish from us as well.

A curious bird is the Pelican,

Its beak can hold more than its belly can!
