New 3D printer
« on: November 25, 2020, 09:01:14 AM »
I think I have done all to my Ender 3 that I can do without replacing frame pieces to extend it.

I have actually decided to build a second printer...

Found this CoreXY printer that has a decent design and good following.

BLV MGN Cube

Will be powered by a Duet 3 and Rasperry Pi.

I have the a 320mm bed to go in it, but I have the files to do an even larger bed (400mm). The frame/rails I am using will allow for a Z of 595 mm.

Doing the triple Z thing to allow for 3 point bed leveling.

Got most of the parts in. Will be starting the build in the next month or so.

Hi Eric,
Take a look at the Hevort 3D printers on Thingiverse, GitHub and Facebook.

Hi Sean,

Thanks for the link!

Someone has taken the HeVort bed mounts and have adapted them to BLV Cube. May end up doing some hybrid monstrosity of printer...

Have you built a HeVort?

Eric

I've started printing some of the parts. But, that's as far as I have got. Life and other projects keep getting in the way. But I follow the FB group and will get back around to it soon.

Cheers

Sean
