George, why can you not just reverse the wires on your speed pot to make it read in the conventional direction ?

I may just do that I never gave it a lot of thought but I'm sure that should work.
Thanks  Andrew for waking me up LOL!

Pretty much done withe the side winder did fix the control to be standard. Thanks Andrew for waking me up not sure why I did not think of doing that.

Made a broach rod for broaching the square hole in the spools. Now on to the vacuum impregnation chamber then I will give it a try.

Well getting ready to maybe try and wind a coil up if I can get the ignition stuff done for my Hoglet I'm building.
I have a plan for the vacuum chamber to impregnate coil with wax. So if I get some time I'll give it a try.

Well started winding my first coil I wound the primary which went pretty good and started on secondary (12,500 wraps).
I've got a plan for the vacuum  chamber in mind and going to start as soon as I get the first one wound up.

Ohh my goodness I own a commercialy mnufatured ccoil winder that is 1/2 as complex.I have use it for making precision resistors for precision circuits in super precise bridge curcits  circa 1950

It aint entirely that I can speel.. I cqant spell. But also this keyboard double tqps on it's own.I get tired of fixing the spelling mistakes.

I know what you mean about the keyboards.  It seems that there are an awful lot of dyslexic keyboards being manufactured lately.  At least that's the way it feels with my last 3 or 4 keyboards.  The words that get miss-spelled I'VE known how to spell for YEARS!

Well did get my first coil done AND IT WORKS. I tested it on 6v and no problems.  I now need to incase it I'm planning on a box a smaller version of a model T  coil. Here is a pic I took from the video.

Here are some pics of the finished coil. It puts out a nice spark at 6V. The primary resistance is 3.0 ohm and the secondary is at 5600 ohms. I'm happy with the way it turned out one more thing I can cross off my would like to build if I could.

Well done Doc.

(Though I'd be nervous of using plywood as the insulator at that sort of voltage)
