The Great Grainfather
« on: August 15, 2015, 05:00:25 AM »
Well after a bit of fitting 'n fettling managed to finish off the insulation jacket for my Grainfather brewing machine.

It is much more thermally efficient as the outside shinny skin only get to about 35C whereas before it was more like 103C (depends on wort gravity!)

What we know as "engine turned" stainless sheet is called "circles" in Ireland!

Its like a Two Ronnies sketch:
"Nah never heard of engine turned sheet!", [I explain what it is], "Oh right, you want a sheet of circles!"

During the time I was working on this our 2nd great grandson was born in Manchester so I prepended Great!

Now to get brewing
